Tek is facing colon cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Bhaktapur
Tek was diagnosed with colon cancer in August. The oncology team at the Bhaktapur Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Tek is 24, worked as a bank teller until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Bhaktapur Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,150 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $510 • Scans and lab work: $220 • Transport to the Bhaktapur Oncology Institute: $145 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $35 • Household costs while unable to work: $240 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Aarati
