Fighting colon cancer: help Fatima afford treatment in Giza
Supporting Fatima through colon cancer: medication, transport to Giza Cancer Centre, and living costs while She can't work.
🇪🇬 Giza, Giza, Egypt1,067 views
In November I was diagnosed with colon cancer. My oncology team at Giza Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in February. I was told to expect about 7 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 38, I worked as a bus conductor until November, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Giza Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $750 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $320
• Scans and lab work: $230
• Transport to Giza Cancer Centre: $200
With deep gratitude,
Fatima

Rooting for you. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Ciudad de México!
Praying for you, Fatima. This could happen to any of us.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Thinking of Giza
Take care, Fatima. It takes guts to ask. Well done. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
Hope things get better soon, Fatima. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Please keep us posted.
