Fighting colon cancer: help Bruno afford treatment in São Paulo
Supporting Bruno through colon cancer: medication, transport to São Paulo University Hospital, and living costs while He can't work.
🇧🇷 Brazil910 views
In August I was diagnosed with colon cancer. My oncology team at São Paulo University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in October. I was told to expect about 4 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 41, I worked as a farmer until August, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to São Paulo University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $3,150 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $230
• Scans and lab work: $195
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,550
• Transport to São Paulo University Hospital: $175
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

hang in there, Bruno. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Put this on a community board in Dwarka this morning. Thinking of São Paulo.
