Fighting cervical cancer: help Prabha afford treatment in Negombo
12 rounds of treatment are planned at Negombo Cancer Centre; we are asking for help with the costs insurance does not cover.

Prabha was diagnosed with cervical cancer in July. The oncology team at Negombo Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Prabha is 32, worked as a hairdresser until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Negombo Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,800 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,100
• Scans and lab work: $260
• Transport to Negombo Cancer Centre: $85
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $55
• Household costs while unable to work: $300
