Fighting cervical cancer: help Juan afford treatment in El Paso
Juan is facing cervical cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Juan was diagnosed with cervical cancer in May. The oncology team at El Paso University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Juan is 36, worked as a construction supervisor until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to El Paso University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,000
• Scans and lab work: $910
• Transport to El Paso University Hospital: $1,200
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $410
• Household costs while unable to work: $880

What exactly is the $10,400 for?
It's all in the list in the story. chemotherapy and medication not covered is the big one at $7,000, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Good question.
