Feed 98 families each week at the Thursday Table in Gwagwalada
Help keep a free food pantry open for neighbors in need in Gwagwalada.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Thursday from the back of a community center. We started with 27 families, and now we feed 98 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 42% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Gwagwalada market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $600 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $270
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $220
• Baby formula and diapers: $60
• Refrigeration and electricity: $50
Thanks for being kind about this.
