Feed 70 families each week at Community Pantry in Riverside
Marcos runs a volunteer pantry feeding 70 families; this fund restocks shelves for the harvest gap.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Tuesday from the back of a community center. We started with 30 families, and now we feed 70 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 42% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 9 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Riverside market and keep every receipt.
Each $50 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $4,000 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $2,050
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,350
• Baby formula and diapers: $210
• Refrigeration and electricity: $390
Thank you for reading my story.
