Feed 391 families each week at Open Hands Pantry in Lalitpur
The Open Hands Pantry pantry in Lalitpur is running low just as demand rises; $250 will stock it for 11 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Wednesday from the back of a community center. We started with 30 families, and now we feed 391 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 47% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Lalitpur market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $250 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $110
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $60
• Baby formula and diapers: $40
• Refrigeration and electricity: $40
Thanks for being kind about this.
