Feed 385 families each week at Neighbors' Pantry in Cambridge
The Neighbors' Pantry pantry in Cambridge is running low just as demand rises; $2,800 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Tuesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 18 families, and now we feed 385 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 52% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Cambridge market and keep every receipt.
Each $30 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,800 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,450
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $770
• Baby formula and diapers: $280
• Refrigeration and electricity: $300
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Keep going, Samira. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Love from Jakarta.
Hope things get better soon, Samira. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Take care, Samira. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. All the best.
