Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Thursday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 17 families, and now we feed 346 each week. Donations have dropped by about 51% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 17 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Toronto market and keep every receipt. Each $40 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $2,900 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,200 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,050 • Baby formula and diapers: $390 • Refrigeration and electricity: $260 Thanks for being kind about this. - Frank
