Feed 345 families each week at Open Hands Pantry in Rome
Pietro runs a volunteer pantry feeding 345 families; this fund restocks shelves for the harvest gap.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Tuesday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 29 families, and now we feed 345 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 34% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Rome market and keep every receipt.
Each $20 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $790
• Baby formula and diapers: $185
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,375
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

How is Pietro doing now?
More neighborhoods should do this. My neighbor in Hamburg donated after I showed her your page. All the best.
