New Delhi
Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Sunday from the back of a community center. We started with 19 families, and now we feed 341 each week. Donations have dropped by about 54% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the New Delhi market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $550 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $330 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $140 • Baby formula and diapers: $55 • Refrigeration and electricity: $25 If you're reading this, thank you. - Vaibhav

The list at the bottom is the whole picture. rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) is the biggest at $330. Good question.
