The Neighbors' Pantry pantry in Bogor is running low just as demand rises; $500 will stock it for 9 weeks.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Sunday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 12 families, and now we feed 328 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 39% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Bogor market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $300
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $125
• Baby formula and diapers: $55
• Refrigeration and electricity: $20

Best of luck. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. After 27 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
