Feed 314 families each week at the Harvest Pantry in Obuasi
Help keep a free food pantry open for families and seniors in Obuasi.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Saturday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 16 families, and now we feed 314 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 58% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Obuasi market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $400 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $130
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $135
• Baby formula and diapers: $65
• Refrigeration and electricity: $70
Thank you so much.

Rooting for you. Hope this works out for you. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless
Sending strength, Richard. Hope this works out for you. I have a 8 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care
