Feed 308 families each week at the Second Helping in London
Help keep a free food pantry open for families and seniors in London.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Friday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 11 families, and now we feed 308 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 39% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the London market and keep every receipt.
Each $25 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,850 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,200
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $780
• Baby formula and diapers: $530
• Refrigeration and electricity: $340
With deep gratitude,
Anna

Thank you all. We're at 7% now ($190). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts. - Anna

stay strong. Hope this works out for you. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of London.
Thinking of you, Anna. Shared this with my family. Take care.
Praying for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
