The Neighbors' Pantry pantry in Nuremberg is running low just as demand rises; $2,850 will stock it for 8 weeks.

Nuremberg
Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Thursday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 14 families, and now we feed 308 each week. Donations have dropped by about 40% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Nuremberg market and keep every receipt. Each $40 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $2,850 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,800 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $420 • Baby formula and diapers: $490 • Refrigeration and electricity: $140 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Petra

Praying for you, Petra. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless

Thanks for sharing this, Petra. This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care
