Sukkur
Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Wednesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 21 families, and now we feed 292 each week. Donations have dropped by about 34% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 6 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Sukkur market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $200 goes: • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $115 • Baby formula and diapers: $45 • Refrigeration and electricity: $40 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Farah
