Feed 287 families each week at Community Pantry in Guarulhos
Help keep a free food pantry open for elderly neighbors in Guarulhos.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Monday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 8 families, and now we feed 287 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 59% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Guarulhos market and keep every receipt.
Each $20 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $400 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $115
• Refrigeration and electricity: $85
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $200
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
