Feed 227 families each week at the Sunday Shelf in Ciudad de México
Liliana runs a volunteer pantry feeding 227 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Monday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 11 families, and now we feed 227 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 49% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Ciudad de México market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $950 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $320
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $440
• Baby formula and diapers: $190
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Hope it all works out. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from Dammam.
Sending good thoughts, Liliana. Shared it with a few friends.
