Feed 192 families each week at the Second Helping in Jakarta Selatan
The the Second Helping pantry in Jakarta Selatan is running low just as demand rises; $400 will stock it for 7 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Saturday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 21 families, and now we feed 192 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 33% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Jakarta Selatan market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $400 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $270
• Refrigeration and electricity: $50
• Baby formula and diapers: $80
