Feed 161 families each week at the Sunday Shelf in Feira de Santana
The the Sunday Shelf pantry in Feira de Santana is running low just as demand rises; $1,100 will stock it for 8 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Monday from the back of a community center. We started with 27 families, and now we feed 161 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 39% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Feira de Santana market and keep every receipt.
Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $560
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $350
• Baby formula and diapers: $135
• Refrigeration and electricity: $55
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
