Dola runs a volunteer pantry feeding 133 families; this fund restocks shelves for the harvest gap.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Wednesday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 19 families, and now we feed 133 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 47% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Dhaka market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $350 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $155
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $140
• Baby formula and diapers: $35
• Refrigeration and electricity: $20
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
