Farewell fund for Javier: help Lucía's family in Joliet
Lucía lost her brother suddenly and the family can't cover funeral and burial costs of $4,050.

Javier, my brother, passed away on 10 September after a sudden heart attack. He was 66 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $4,050 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 27 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Javier to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.

• Funeral home services and casket: $2,650
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,000
• Transport of the deceased: $135
• Memorial gathering for the family: $265
