Farewell fund for Hendrik: help Megan's family in Mthatha
After the sudden passing of Hendrik, the family is asking for help with the funeral home and burial costs.

Hendrik, my grandfather, passed away on 31 August after a sudden heart attack. He was 79 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $550 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 11 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Hendrik to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.

• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $410
• Transport of the deceased: $85
• Memorial gathering for the family: $55
