Emergency vet bill for Rosie in Negombo
A three-legged dog named Rosie needs orthopedic surgery - a $350 bill the family can't cover.
🇱🇰 Sri Lanka347 views
Rosie is my three-legged dog of three years. On 13 October we rushed to Negombo Animal Hospital with a tumor on the spleen. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $350.
They have stabilized Rosie, but the treatment can't wait beyond December.
Rosie is more than a pet - Rosie is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $35 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Negombo Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $350 goes:
• Medication and follow-up visits: $35
• Emergency surgery: $250
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $65
I hope life is good to you.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Roshan
It's all in the list in the story. medication and follow-up visits is the big one at $35, I'll post a receipt when it's paid.
we've got a rescue too so I know how much they mean. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Take care.
