Electricity and water shut-off notice: help Palesa pay $150
A disconnection notice for electricity and water arrived and Palesa needs $150 before June.

The electricity and water account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on June unless I pay $150. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which I don't have.
I live with three children under ten, and going through winter without electricity and water isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $150 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $50
• Reconnection and late fees: $50
• Down payment on a payment plan: $50
Thank you so much.

You're not alone, Palesa. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Nice.
is there anything that isn't money that would help Palesa?
Stay strong, Palesa. Hope you get there. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Blessings
Hang in there. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Sent it to 13 people at work.
Good luck, Palesa. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. God bless.
Thanks for sharing this, Palesa. I hope things turn around soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Pretoria.
