Don't let Inés's family go through the rainy season without electricity
Help Inés cover an overdue electricity bill so the household stays safe this the rainy season.
🇺🇸 United States667 views
The electricity account is 4 months behind. Inés received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on August unless $850 is paid. She had never been late before a reduction in hours.
Inés called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $190 first, which isn't available.
The household includes an elderly mother, and going through the rainy season without electricity isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Inés is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Inés's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
Where the $850 goes:
• Utility arrears: $350
• Reconnection and late fees: $160
• Down payment on a payment plan: $340
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
