Don't let Amelia's family go through the rainy season without heating

Amelia is behind on heating bills after March's medical emergency and needs $800 to avoid a shut-off.

The heating account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on July unless I pay $800. I have never been late before March's medical emergency. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $65 first, which I don't have. I live with an elderly mother, and going through the rainy season without heating isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $800 goes: • Heating arrears: $510 • Reconnection and late fees: $170 • Down payment on a payment plan: $120 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Amelia
