Bhavna was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in May. The oncology team at Bellevue Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Bhavna is 57, worked as a bakery worker until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bellevue Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $7,850 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,050 • Scans and lab work: $1,300 • Transport to Bellevue Cancer Centre: $630 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $470 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,400 Every share and every dollar helps. - Aditi
