Baobab Park needs a youth football pitch - Leo's neighborhood project
A community-led a youth football pitch at Baobab Park that will serve 482 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,900.
It will serve about 482 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Materials: $1,750
• Permits and inspections: $360
• Safety equipment and signage: $440
• Tools hire and delivery: $350
