Back on our feet: Nnamdi and twin daughters in Epe
A single mother in Epe needs help with childcare, groceries and rent while Nnamdi retrains.
🇳🇬 Nigeria1,300 views
After a sudden redundancy in August, I'm now raising twin daughters on my own. I work as a driver, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a dental nurse in the evenings, which will triple my income by November, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Money goes toward rent, groceries, after-school care and the cost of my course. I'll give a monthly update with receipts.
Where the $700 goes:
• Rent top-up: $260
• Childcare and after-school care: $195
• Groceries and school meals: $125
• Course fees and exam costs: $120
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Hang in there, Nnamdi. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust!
