Anthony's final semester of an agriculture degree in Newport
Anthony is one semester away from finishing an agriculture degree but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $2,500.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying an agriculture degree at Newport Community College, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $2,500.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.9 average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Newport Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $105
• Outstanding tuition balance: $2,200
• Textbooks and materials: $195

Thinking of you, Anthony. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
Hope it all works out, Anthony. Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
Praying for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Campinas.
