Aminata was diagnosed with kidney cancer in June. The oncology team at Strasbourg University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Aminata is 36, worked as a construction supervisor until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Strasbourg University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $7,400 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,750
• Scans and lab work: $640
• Transport to Strasbourg University Hospital: $570
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $580
• Household costs while unable to work: $860

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. chemotherapy and medication not covered comes first ($4,750) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Ask me anything else.
