Alyssa's final semester of an agriculture degree in Philadelphia
Alyssa has worked and saved for four years to study an agriculture degree; a $4,300 gap now stands between her and graduation.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying an agriculture degree at the Philadelphia Institute of Technology, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a library assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $4,300.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.6 average, and my department head has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $4,300 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $320
• Final term tuition: $3,600
• Textbooks and materials: $380
Every share and every dollar helps.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Lyon
