Alexandre's stage 2 breast cancer treatment fund
Supporting Alexandre through stage 2 breast cancer: medication, transport to the Contagem Oncology Institute, and living costs while He can't work.
🇧🇷 Brazil241 views
Alexandre was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in June. The oncology team at the Contagem Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Alexandre is 32, worked as a hairdresser until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Contagem Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $220
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,950
• Household costs while unable to work: $580
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
