A youth football pitch for the Liberty health centre yard: help our neighbors in Birmingham
Volunteers in Birmingham are raising $2,450 for a youth football pitch at the Liberty health centre yard.
🇬🇧 Birmingham, England, United Kingdom433 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $2,450.
It will serve about 492 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $310
• Tools hire and delivery: $230
• Materials: $1,910
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
