A youth football pitch for Lotus Primary School: help our neighbors in Addis Ababa
A community-led a youth football pitch at Lotus Primary School that will serve 356 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 356 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $25
• Permits and inspections: $15
• Materials: $360
