A youth football pitch for Cedar Primary School: help our neighbors in Soweto

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $200. It will serve about 409 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
