A youth football pitch for Baobab Primary School: help our neighbors in Girona
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a youth football pitch - we need $3,250 for materials.
🇪🇸 Girona, Catalonia, Spain787 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $3,250.
It will serve about 504 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,250 goes:
• Materials: $2,500
• Permits and inspections: $75
• Safety equipment and signage: $330
• Tools hire and delivery: $345
