Pittsburgh
For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,600. It will serve about 562 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $2,600 goes: • Permits and inspections: $195 • Materials: $2,300 • Safety equipment and signage: $105 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 12% now ($312). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward permits and inspections.

  3. Thank you all. We're at 8% now ($217). I'm honestly stunned. we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.
