A skate park for the Union community hall: help our neighbors in Nuremberg
A community-led a skate park at the Union community hall that will serve 93 neighbors.
🇩🇪 Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany1,903 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,500.
It will serve about 93 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $280
• Materials: $1,900
• Tools hire and delivery: $320
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
