A skate park for the Liberty vacant lot: help our neighbors in Fort Collins
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $2,850 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $2,850.
It will serve about 594 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

Keep going, Eleanor. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out
You're not alone, Eleanor. More neighborhoods should do this. After 26 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything
