A skate park for the Harmony health centre yard: help our neighbors in Laredo
A community-led a skate park at the Harmony health centre yard that will serve 238 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $410, and the remaining cost is $750.
It will serve about 238 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $750 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $300
• Safety equipment and signage: $250
• Tools hire and delivery: $200
