A skate park: a volunteer-led effort in Boulogne-Billancourt
Volunteers in Boulogne-Billancourt are raising $3,400 for a skate park at the Harmony vacant lot.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $640, and the remaining cost is $3,400.
It will serve about 546 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Safety equipment and signage: $250
• Tools hire and delivery: $520
