A skate park: a volunteer-led effort in Alcalá de Henares

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $2,450 for materials.

Alcalá de Henares
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Park, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $2,450. It will serve about 385 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $2,450 goes: • Permits and inspections: $200 • Tools hire and delivery: $290 • Materials: $1,960 I hope life is good to you.
