A service dog for Naliaka, a marines veteran in Embakasi
Naliaka served fourteen years in the marines; $900 would cover a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.

I served fourteen years in the marines and was discharged in 2025 with hearing damage and PTSD. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $900.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $900 goes:
• Essential household items: $45
• Housing deposit and first month: $300
• Training provider fees: $555
Thanks for being kind about this.
