A service dog for Marilyn, an infantry veteran in Gatineau
An infantry veteran in Gatineau needs help with a vocational welding course and tools after leaving service with a service-related knee injury.

I served eight years in the infantry and was discharged in 2023 with a service-related knee injury. I have been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $2,900.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Transport to appointments: $560
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,800
• Essential household items: $540
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

So sorry you're going through this. This could happen to any of us. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Take care.
Stay strong, Marilyn. Hope you get there. Love from Dhaka
reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless
Sending love, Marilyn. Hope you get there. Blessings.
Take care. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Caloocan
