A service dog for Garima, an engineering corps veteran in San Diego
After twelve years of service, Garima is raising funds for a vocational welding course and tools.

I served twelve years in the engineering corps and was discharged in 2024 with a service-related knee injury. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $3,350.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $3,350 goes:
• Training provider fees: $1,150
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,600
• Transport to appointments: $280
• Essential household items: $320
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Praying for you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless!
