After six years of service, Emery is raising funds for a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.

I served six years in the navy and was discharged in 2025 with hearing damage and PTSD. I have been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $4,200.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $4,200 goes:
• Training provider fees: $2,150
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,350
• Transport to appointments: $510
• Essential household items: $190
Every share and every dollar helps.

Sending strength, Emery. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did!
stay strong. Shared it with a few friends. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
You're not alone, Emery. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I have a 16 year old who wants to send good wishes too. God bless
Shared it with a few friends. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best
