A sensory garden for children with autism for the Union vacant lot: help our neighbors in Wudil
Volunteers in Wudil are raising $100 for a sensory garden for children with autism at the Union vacant lot.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $100.
It will serve about 414 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $100 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Tools hire and delivery: $45
• Safety equipment and signage: $20
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
